Sometimes during deep meditation, I tend to jump if there's a sudden noise, however faint it may be. But a few days ago when I was very relaxed and the energy was flowing strongly, I heard one of my neighbours' hammering and the sound seemed to come from within me and not be external. It felt as though I had no boundaries or that they were dissolving.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? |

Yes... this is how is changes... that is one reason we suggest not to use ear plugs during meditation... slowly getting used to what is happening in meditation, gently going back to the mantra, accepting all as a part of the process... then soon there is no outside or inside... a thought arising is the same as the neighbors lawn mower... a slight distraction... and we go back to the mantra.
Thanks for sharing this. To the best of my knowledge, it has not been talked about before and it is always great to have people share different experiences here so others can gain from it.

This is in fact a sign of progress on the path.
When one carries a bit too much energy, and is not properly grounded, this "jumping out of the skin" phenomenon is quite common.
Keep up the good work!
Love,

Hi Manigma,
I don't really mind hearing sounds during meditation (which is just as well really ), it was more about where they seemed to emanate from. |

Yes, I clarified it in the last post.
Its the Universal Consciousness that becomes an individual's Mind.
Its the Universal Space which becomes an individual's Body.
I am is the source from which the Universal Consciousness and Universal Space emanate.
