Last night I came to a deeper understanding.
I debated posting this as it is not my nature. But, I thought it important to share something. The practices were helpful, but it is the forum and friends made here that made the difference.
Sometimes you need a friend to hold a mirror up to your face to show you who you really are.
Peace & Love.
And for those who know me better...smiles. Come on outside and play. |

Thank you.....
I feel the same, the practices are great, but the interaction with other people here and in life outside, for me, really completes the Yoga.....
Love and thanks |

Practice is the formation of the habit. Life is the crucible, that refines the habit, removing dross.

Jeff,
This post, while spot-on correct, causes a thought to form in response.
Many of us are easily distracted by passionate, "out of left field" types of personalities. These personalities are prone to attract a following, among folks who are a little bored or disgruntled, for whatever reason.
However if we let our attention get trapped, by various visiting luminaries, then perhpas we will forget the core system, that a very wise man put in place, for the benefit of others.
Yes, I love to yuck it up with my brothers and sisters, possibly more than anyone else at this time.. I've not done it in 1/2 of forever, due to being a prick towards other spiritual teachers.
So, my dear friend, I advise you and others who may feel this way, to honor both the crucible of life, and the practices so generously and freely displayed on that left panel in our browsers.
Nobody ever accomplished anything, by jumping to and fro. Slow and steady wins the race.
I plan on posting up a storm.. I can't help it.. it flows out of me non-stop. I'd need to tie my hands up to stop. But I will post as a guest in another man's house, not the jerk I was before.
When possible, I will use the founders own words. It honors both the founder and demonstrates respect. It is purely win-win.
I hope Jeff, that you take this in the manner in which it was intended; I do not dress-down anybody; not even me; I have learned my lesson, without one person even suggesting that I cool it. Now how enlightened is that, of the AYP staff?
Namaste,
Kevin Cann
