First what Yogani wrote:

He is of course correct.
However there is a lot of unnecessary suffering generated, by ignoring one basic fact about the nectar cycle. Any trained person from a kundalini tradition is passed this information, so it is no great secret. Please steal this information and make it part of AYP. Then I can talk about it in the main folders
The purpose of the nectar cycle is to support higher consciousness; this much is obvious.
Amrita forms in the cave of Brahma, the third eye region; in fact it is the intial formation of Amrita, directly triggered by the indwelling self, that starts the Kundalini process. Later, yes, Amrita is 1/3 of the total nectar cycle.
Soma is indeed the part of the nectar cycle found in the stomach.
Finally, it is Ojas, the most delicate and wondrous part of the nectar cycle, that is the key to one simple, overlooked fact of critical importance.
We all have those "low days". Now "low days" are not bad; they are not good. They simply are. We should not be upset about a low day, or overly amped up about a "high day". It is for us to live from the silence.
But wouldn't you like to know where the low days come from?
Low days can come from the following:
1) God wanted it that way :-) 2) Karma disrupts the flow 3) Stopping of practice 4) Illness, etc. 5) Death rays hit you from Mars.. in other words almost anything.
But..
For people who live in a blessed state of higher consciousness (awareness of the silence in itself is higher consciousness) an improved nerve fuel is required to power the system.
Our true Self is beyond form, but these bodies need fuel to express that true Self.
That fuel is Ojas, the rising precious essence, 1/3 of the nectar cycle, and the sole part which can power higher consciousness.
When you use up too much Ojas, you feel low. This happens due to excessive unregulated sexual activity, or even excessive thinking, feeling or posting.
So guard your seed.. guard your nectar.. call it maya if you want.. call it duality thinking if you want.. but like all other duality and maya, it is real, valid and has a purpose, within a limited sphere. Otherwise yes, it is just scenery.
Just don't give anyting more due, than it has coming, and our baseline must always be the silence.
I hope this was helpful. I hate to see unnecessary suffering.
Namaste,
