When stars can't handle their nuclear fuel, they explode in a brilliant burst of light.
A type II supernova star runs out of nuclear fuel and collapses under its own gravity. Like the sun, it will eventually run out of hydrogen and then helium fuel at its core. However, it will have enough mass and pressure to fuse carbon. Here's what happens next:
-Gradually heavier elements build up at the center, and it becomes layered like an onion, with elements becoming lighter towards the outside of the star.
-Once the star's core surpasses a certain mass (the Chandrasekhar limit), the star begins to implode.
-The core heats up and becomes denser.
-Eventually the implosion bounces back off the core, expelling the stellar material into space ? the supernova.
What's left is an ultradense object called a neutron star.

Manigma, I admire your knowledge. ![](icon_smile.gif)
Be it Science or Silence. Be it Tantra or Osho you seem to be having an indepth knowledge. And then you offer practical tips.
IT IS VERY KIND OF YOU TO CONTRIBUTE SO MUCH THROUGH YOUR POSTS.
I am sure you have experienced lots. Please share more of your experiences as there would be lots to learn / understand.
I am willing to travel to Amritsar (you said you stay nearby) if I can seek guidance from you. Can we interact through email or phone?
I would have preferred sending this post as a PM, but since your email ID is not given, it was not pssoible to send it through AYP mail.

You are welcome to visit me if you come to Amritsar. My email is manig[at]gmx.net
But as I said earlier, I won't be able to assist you with any practices.
Have you ever been to Osho's resort in Pune?

Yes... when a star reaches a sufficient level of iron isotope "poisoning", and is of sufficient size, then this implosion/explosion sequence is inevitable.
I'm not 100% certain whether manigma meant this to be a lesson about the human soul.. but it does happen to be a lesson about the human soul..
When the human soul becomes ripe, it collapses under it's own weight and goes supernova.
I have met few people who know this, and it is seldom discussed apparently, even though this is what happens at the moment of enlightenment.
I too love enigma wrapped in the body of a man.
Namaste,
