Hi,

I've had a kriya practise for a number of years but then switched to AYP, and have been doing AYP meditation for several months but feel real resistance to doing it.... I like SB and other practises but only have a real dislike for DM. What is going on here? Will it pass and does this mean it is very important I do it

Has anyone else experienced this?

Love & Light,

Still

Hi Still,
The resistance may be from the fact that your mind does not want to/afraid to let go.

I would suggest doing it for only as long as you can sit comfortably. So when you sit to meditate, do it for 5 - 10 min if that is all you feel comfortable doing. Don't make it a game for the mind and fight resistance... the mind loves such things.

The other thing I may suggest is to try the "SHREE OM SHREE OM I AM I AM NAMAH NAMAH" mantra. Take a look at this lesson http://www.aypsite.org/367.html When there is a longer mantra, one, the mind thinks there is more to do and is happy and two, the process of focusing reduces as we lose the mantra more often.

Hope some of this helps.
