I think the statement triggers inside me something than more than a simple statement.

Ahh... sorry I misunderstood. My bad.
When he says "If I want anything to continue", he means, in life we "wish" our family stays together forever, and "I" have a job forever, and "I stay is a state of happiness/bliss" forever and "I" have the forums forever, and I have things in my life go like it is going on now forever.
But if I stay with the idea that everything must stay as it is, and nothing should change, I will be disappointed. Things will change as it does, and we have to accept it and move on.
My favorite lines from the Geeta:

yes, thanks I have read something similar or learned something similar from some other text probably passed down from family...this too shall pass..
with my emotions, my son has left the room...he was reading as I am on the computer...and that is what I need to tend to...
I get too busy in my can of worms....
just go breath....is what I am going to do...calmly
and that too will end one day.
