This is my new favorite pose.
Pigeon pose cured my sciatica...but this pose brings it to a whole new level....my entrance is still kind of clunky though...any help would be appreciated.

Good to hear about your spine - congrats, machart!
A nice pic.
IMO. this angle is healthier than rotating one arm inward above/behind the body. You can warm up/soften up with foot in elbow (and a gentle pull toward the spine), once on each side, before the full arms position.
It's also possible to sit on a couple of small pillows, and removing them 1 at a time on a weekly or monthly basis.

Thanks HathaTeacher!
I appreciate your input.
Still working on the pose...that's the beauty of hatha...always something to work on to make your body feel exquisite.
