As an Indian, I can tell you that vedic astrology, jyotish, is a big deal culturally.
Now I personally do not believe in astrology in predicting the future. If you want to predict the future, you must develop clairvoyance.
But I am now slowly coming back to jyotish, because of my occult studies of western magick, like this:

I have to admit my birth chart analysis is pretty much accurate
I have a ridiculous amount of ketu influence. It is super exalted in my lagna. |

WOW this is fascinating.
No children with no plans to have them.
Marriage is struggling somewhat.
Very focused on my career.
Born into a family of "opponents"--polar opposites from me in terms of beliefs and it has engendered in me a desire to bring together and create dialogue between polarized groups.
