After long and careful deliberation, I have decided to embrace the deep meditation technique as my primary system of meditation. For the past 8 months I have been following the "Systemic course" in Yoga & Kriya by Satyananda Saraswati, but the continuous changing of meditation techniques in each lesson has left me wanting for a more stable daily practice. This is not to say I haven't benefited from that system, but the meditation techniques seem more geared towards developing things like body awareness and visualization than mental stillness. I will probably continue to follow the systemic course as well, especially as far as the physical yoga goes.
Immediately upon picking up the Mantra AyAm, the dual poled nature of it which Yogani has mentioned several times became clear to me. It seems as if the "Ay", resonates more with the Ajna and Sahasrara, where the "Am" resonates with the Anahata and Manipura. Does anyone else have any experience with this? I know we should try not to localize the mantra, but it feels as if these syllables have an almost physiological response with those centers.

HI You are quite right about the physiological response. It is probably way to early for you to ad any of the mantra enhancements so disregard that part for now but this lesson explains the physiological response you talk about.
