So we have a little yoga building in my town... just one room... thought i'd check it out just to see. First time to a yoga class. An asana class or whatever.
I was moving at my own pace... it was a "level 1" class. Was a hour and 15 minutes long. I was in "sync" with everyone else for about 15 minutes of the time. I dont see how an entire class can be in sync in any yoga class. No one is on the same level lol for however many people there are in the world i think there is a different "level" for all of them. idk it wasnt discouraging or anything it was very relaxing and i did a fantastic job i thought. But i took a break when i wanted/needed it and moved at my own pace. Also my feet were cold the last 10 minutes so i had to make an adjustment for that... In Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class book he says its important to practice in a heated room. This makes sense. Do you practice in a heated room? lol(whoever is reading this)
I go to power yoga classes at the Y 2-3 time a week and the class room is not heated. One teacher at the Y has her own studio and on Thursday nights they do a heated room ashtanga class...supposedly it is great for sweating out the toxins in your body....but I sweat a lot no matter what...
