Anyone notice that after tons of self-inquiry, subject matter of thoughts no longer seems to matter? In other words thoughts come and they are let go, no perceived benefit from worrying about them. Also, emotions will come and rather than getting into the who, what and why's of them, they are let go before the corresponding thoughts arise to meet them. Remaining on this "side" of the mind, rather than traveling away on the wings of thinking.

Hi Anthem,

This happens to me to some degree. The thoughts and dramas of everyday life got so tiresome that I couldn't continue to give so much energy to them. They are endless. I especially lost interest in the domination/ego games and such that we play with each other (blame, judging, etc.). So I dropped out. I refuse to participate in those games any longer. Sometimes there is still a trace of the beginnings of a tendency to blame or judge someone, but it's seen as a fraud and gets vaporized in its tracks.

Thankfully, remaining on "this side" of the mind is now the rule more than the exception. Those thought habits are still present, but they increasingly lose their grip as practice progresses.

Thanks for this topic.

Blessings

Yup, there is always another thought, and some supposed great reason for why we need to put energy into it. The mind just does that, I guess.
