For no apparent reason I began saying "Shree I Am" today. I didn't really make a conscious decision, but it suddenly felt very powerful and very right - actually a great deal more stable than the plain "I Am."
OK. Question: This isn't the '1st enhancement,' but I'm not ready for the double 'shree' and 2 I Am.' Should I stick with this mini-enhancement or not? Unless anyone has strong negative advice, I think I will.
(Interestingly, I added a word to my DM mantra after having subtracted, this morning, two words from the mantra I chant during puja to Ma - also spontaneous, also suddenly and obviously right...) |

Hi Grihastha,
That's absolutely fine. Some people find that when they add the first mantra enhancement, they find that they have to cut down to only one "sree" after a while because two is too stimulating on the crown chakra. So if you can sense that it may be too much for you already, then you are one step ahead. In time you can increase to the full first enhancement.

Thanks, Christi
Yes, totally: more would be too much. I felt my spine start to tingle immediately (nothing unduly crown-related, although it's all a bit tingly and excited up there these days) as if something just got instantly and painlessly cleaned out, and that's more than enough to be going on with.
Namaste,

Brother Neil, I agree and I normally wouldn't bother people with the small points, but this practice has done some fairly physical stuff to me lately - I wasn't expecting it - and I'm scaling back my usual bull/china shop approach, just for the time being, (and now that I've regained control of my neck...)
Thanks for the well wishes, my brother! |

Same thing happening with the enhanced mantra as happened when I started on I Am: drifting away into semi-daydreams, coming back to find I'm still chanting the mantra but it's changed.
