If you are suffering from sciatica start doing pigeon pose as part of your asana practice...not part of the AYP set of asanas but wonderful for stretching the piriformis.

I had BAD,painful, excrutiating sciatica...started doing lots of hatha and so far no more pain!

After getting rid of the pain of sciatica, I really don't care if I get enlightened with shiva and shakti uniting resulting in my head popping off in a blaze of ecstatic bliss....when my body feels good...I feel the presence of GOD!

Hi Machart

I believe ATB-SNR could also bring considerable relief to sciatica.

Consider visiting a good massage therapist. Having work done on the sciatic notch of the coxa can bring about great relief.

Great suggestion Anthony!

I have a gift from my wife for a massage so am looking forward to it.

Thibaud...I am not familiar with ATB-SNR but will look into it. Thanks for the advice.

Make sure you mention your sciatica to the therapist so he/she knows to perform deep-tissue work or whatever else they use for deep work.
