Read #12 and #13 about this monk that never loses consciousness even though sleep:
http://www.greatwesternvehicle.org/...perience.htm
I know many others can do this, he just has a cool way of explaining it.

Every morning I wake up pissed that I let the screen of sleep come over me and dilute my consciousness. I want to have lucid dreams and astral project.

Can this be achieved eventually through meditation?

jory,

Welcome to the AYP Support Forums! This topic has been discussed many times. Here's a good place for you to start:

http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic....CID,DREAMING

You can also use the Search function at the top of the AYP Support Forum page (http://www.aypsite.org/forum/search.asp).

I found The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche very helpful. A nonreligious approach is discussed in Stephen LaBerge's online book on lucid dreaming, also very good: http://myko.tvujweb.cz/LaBergeSteph...Dreaming.htm

namaste,
Joe

Oh I've read a great deal about OBEs and lucid dreaming, I have both those books and many more, but achieving is what has been eluding me for awhile.

Mainly I just wanted to share the link.

Hi Jory,

Thanks for sharing the link, a very enjoyable read and nice to see where "sleep" experiences will lead. Thanks for posting it.
