Last Saturday night as I came back to Vermont on the ferry the full moon captivated me. I felt drawn out of my car to witness its reflection on the lake. I have always been drawn to the sight of the sun dancing on water but this is the first time I can remember the moon casting as powerful a spell on me. A very different kind of energy.
As I stood, unwilling to move despite the cold, I found my mind attempting to analyze and objectify my perceptions. Somehow I was consciously able to stop this process and enjoy the experience without analyzing. The fact that I was successful may make for a boring post but I feel that what happened that night was important. By consciously not objectifying my experience I entered into a higher consciousness.

Sounds like you were able to stay present and know reality for what it was in that moment. The more often we choose to be in the here and now rather than "away" in the imaginings (objectifying) of the future or the past, the more we will find incredible beauty all the time and all around us.
