Hi,
Here is a song by Israeli singer/songwriter Yoni Rechter. It's really nice..
It's called "A Happy Prophetic Cosmic Song"
Here are the translated lyrics:
Like a cloud pillar, you will go in front of the herd, You'll understand everything, know, you won't say one word, Like a pillar of smoke you'll disappear inside the room, Something inside you will tell you "continue on your path".
Like the Milky Way that crosses the sky, You go straight, don't pay attention to the stars, that shine to blind the eyes, Something inside you will tell you "continue on your path".
Ho, go straight, Go alone, Don't be afraid. Don't get mad, Go innocent, Go One.
Like the wild goose that passes in the evening sky, he flies in the head of the arrow, and doesn't get deterred from the distance and instinct shows and creates his way Something inside you will tell you "continue on your path".
Like Bridgette Bardo that understood the way, left behind the good and the bad, and on the going ons she watches from the balcony, Something inside you will tell you "Stop".
Without intending, let yourself walk, all the calculations will end by themselves, Like the tree the comes back to life from Fall, Something inside you will tell you "continue".
Ho, go straight...

Just discovered this artist happened to be Swedish... Enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71zWukE7dn0
I won't breathe you now, I won't let you take me down To your underworld, to your underworld, I will follow thee, rising bubbles to the sky Like a melody, like a melody...
I will never be alone, this could be my other home
Chorus: I will never be afraid again, hold your breath then count to ten Stay for silence, stay for when I will never be afraid again No I'll never be afraid, close your eyes and count to ten Stay for silence, stay for when I will never be afraid again
It's a sudden change, from the surface to below It's a different town, but you've got underground You used to SOS, when you know you gonna drown Try to stay alive, surrender to survive...
I will never be alone, this could be my other home
Chorus...
Bridge: Find a light above the sea (oh no) , cross your heart and follow me Imagine how it all could end, imagine how it all could be

Hi guys
I'm here with another hebrew song, by a Hasidic Jew (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hassid) named Shuli Rand. The Hasidim believe that one should worship god not just by reading the Bible and saying written prayers and doing the rituals, but doing it with a full heart, full of feelings, and worship every day with a heart and with the simple actions in life, I think like the Bhakti Yogis, or maybe also as in Karma Yoga.. I think it's very beautiful.
So here is the song, it has words that for me generate Tons of Bhakti and Love for God
It's called: What's the Purpose
Translation:
What's the purpose of this pain If not to shake my heart That fell asleep And for a long time had not skipped a beat
Why did this infamy come Just to shatter in me the imagining That I can do it all It's comfortable to forgive, it's comfortable to pardon
What did this fall want Just to wake me up again to prayer To the red sky That it will change into mercy for me Mercy Mercy
Heart of the World, do you hear? Suddenly I am afraid. In faith I know, know That you wouldn't ignore a poor man's prayer That you wouldn't ignore a poor man's prayer
How nice is this pain As it reminds me who is the turner Who starts, conducts and brings Who all this Brought on me with Love
Good and beautiful this bend is, That breaks my body just a little more This body that is never satisfied For I have crawled in its honor to the edge
What does this blow want Just to birth from me a yell To the red sky That it will change for me into Mercy Mercy Mercy
Closed my eyes closed the book An hour I sat to settle my mind My pride I have put in the corner of the room And like this I was going to interpret (?) my conversation
Heart of the World do you hear What's this, suddenly I am afraid, In faith I know, know That you wouldn't ignore a poor man's prayer That you wouldn't ignore a poor man's prayer
Here is the song for anyone who wants to hear (it's very melodious):

Hi,
Here is another song from Shuli Rand, about his poet friend who he always fought with about religious matters until the day he died (from their real lives). It is very beautiful and I recommend to listen to it even if the language is not understood.
The Poet
Translation:
My Sir the poet the whole city is filled with your honor Remember how we met at the center of the pool I swam slow you swam fast, a stretched chest fitting for a poet We stopped to meet we rolled a talk about defiled and pure and allowed and forbidden It's a pleasure to talk with you, juggler of words What did I say, when you stopped playing by the rules. It was my opinion I had no choice, Suddenly between us an abyss opened up I pointed at the sky, you dived into the water, And you said "No", and I said "Yes" And if I said "There is", you laughed "There isn't".
You sure remember this miserable morning, We both fell on the same bench, I finished cigarettes, you peeled a pear, each one of us In his resentment introverted. How we again got into the same talk, about if man is allowed and if there is providence, You are a juggler of words, we weren't matched, This time it almost ended in a fight.. It was my opinion I had no choice, in your eyes I suddenly saw a strange (foreign) fire, You grinned to the sky, I didn't give up, When you said "No", I yelled "Yes", "Of course there is", you yelled "There isn't".
This night at the hospital You were wrapped in frightening tubes, On the edge of the chair I sat silently, You breathed heavily, we spoke little.
Between us a terror, in the room, shadows, I had feelings, I had no words, Your eyes fixed on me, big and soft, We both started to cry. We both saw the same picture, Above you, the Divine Presence, and a horrible fear when you suddenly trembled, And I prayed "No", you knew "Yes", Go in peace, you replied Amen.
The moon broke into the hospital, In a sadness like this I had no tools, My friend the poet, your memory be blessed, Rest in peace, you death be whole.
The song:

Hi Yonatan,
Great//Cool song; I really enjoyed it!! Thanks for posting!
And, yes - Hassidic Jews are essentially yogis; Kabbalists -- they're about the experiential realizations which showcase the truth of a philosophical view which is remarkably similar in symbolism to other non-dual schools.
One of the largest Hassidic (or Chassidic) groups in the world is Chabad ... which is an acronym for "Chochmah, Binah, Da'at" ... three of the Sefirot (Chakras) on the Tree of Life, within Kabbalah.
Their headquarters is in Crown Heights (yes, *that* Crown; Kether in Kabbalah is analogous to Sahasrara in yoga), Brooklyn, New York.
This song has a lot of kabbalah in it, as well ... I'd be interested to see the Hebrew lyrics as well, if you have them (transliterated as before, if you can, please ) -- I know/recognize just enough Hebrew that it would be useful in seeing if what I think I'm seeing is correct -- no problem if it's not convenient; the song is beautiful!

Thank Kirtanman brother!! Cool info I didn't realize that Kether in the Tree of Life diagram is the sahasrara. I checked it out right now and also noticed that there is a sephira called Yesod- in hebrew that word can mean "base". Maybe that's the root chakra??

The following song summarizes my life...
"The Balance", by The Moody Blues
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlFYWRajMKY
After he had journeyed And his feet were sore And he was tired He came upon an orange grove And he rested
And he lay in the cool And while he rested, he took to himself an orange and tasted it And it was good
And he felt the earth to his spine And he asked
And he saw the tree above him And the stars And the veins in the leaf And the light And the balance And he saw Magnificent perfection Whereon he thought of himself in balance And he knew he was
Just open your eyes And realize The way it's always been Just open your mind And you will find The way it's always been Just open your heart And that's a start
And he thought of those he angered For he was not a violent man
And he thought of those he hurt For he was not a cruel man
And he thought of those he frightened For he was not an evil man
And he understood He understood himself
Upon this He saw that when he was of anger Or knew hurt Or felt fear It was because he was not understanding
And he learned Compassion
And with his eye of compassion He saw his enemies like unto himself
And he learned Love
And then ... he was answered.
Just open your eyes And realize The way it's always been Just open your mind And you will find The way it's always been Just open your heart And that's a start |

I was in a deep dip, the lowest giving up mood... put on the radio and of course was captured by mySelf through:
Erik Grönwall - Higher, winner of Idol 2009, Sweden
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-R4e45Wo-8
Hey, I'm a believer, and gravity's letting go of me tonight mm you came out of nowhere, when everything was passing by at the speed of light So hold my hand and never let me go Take a leap of faith into the unknown
I am flying, my heart is taking over, the world is flashing by Higher, higher, higher I will follow wherever it might take us, chasing through the sky Higher, higher, higher
Oh I know it can be scary, you better know when your heart is on the line But oh, baby don't worry, just hold my hand and never let me go
I am flying, my heart is taking over, the world is flashing by Higher, higher, higher I will follow wherever it might take us, chasing through the sky Higher, higher, higher
Take me higher, I'll hold you as we're shooting through the atmosphere around us everything disappears
I am flying, my heart is taking over, the world is flashing by

Radio message again. This time - when smiling - Almaz showed up:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SDVqScIEdw
She only smiles He only tells her that she's the flowers, the wind and spring In all her splendor sweetly surrendering The love that innocence brings
** Almaz, pure and simple Born in a world where love survives Now men will want her 'Cause life don't haunt her Almaz, You lucky lucky thing
Now I watch closely And I watch wholly I can't imagine love so rare She's young and tender But will life bend her I look around is she everywhere
** repeat
He throws her kisses She shares his wishes I'm sure he's keen without a doubt With love so captive So solely captive I ask if I could play the part
** repeat
Almaz, You lucky lucky thing Almaz, You lucky lucky thing |

I'm afraid a lot will be lost in translation... this is a Swedish song, (Om /If with Niklas Strömstedt) but I'll try my best to make it English:
If
Smiling mirror with shortcomings and faults seeing that the child has become a man And the Gods gave me a strange soul who has difficulties taking opportunities sometimes
But today we have gotten somewhere You and me
Take away all words You know what I mean
Chorus: If you were an ocean I would be a wave If you were the sky I would have wings If you were a rain I would be sea and land If you were music I would be a song If you were the open landscape I would be the wind
But I wouldn't be anything if you were not there
Come, come my love, the moon is great All windows are open tonight Open to the world where Love lives Just come, keep me awake tonight
We are left We are time passing You and me We do it again when the morning comes
Chorus

Dear friends,
Here is a song from Israeli singer Rita, really illuminated lyrics. She's one of the really popular singers here in Israel.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAX2ku9ifEs
The song is in Hebrew, and here are hte translated lyrics.
Waiting by Rita
One day it will happen Without us noticing something will change Something will relax in us something will touch us and there wouldn't be what to be afraid about
And it will come like a line on a hand It will come sure of itself Like it was always there and waiting that we'll notice it It will come you will see The clenched hands will enlong And the heart that gaurds itself from hurt will beat in a regular rythm It will come like nature is normal with being whole with itself
One day it will happen Without us noticing something will change Something will relax in us something will touch us and there wouldn't be what to be afraid about
And it will come like a line on a hand It will come sure of itself Like it was always there and waiting that we'll notice it And it will come you will see The clenched hands will enlong And the heart that gaurds itself from hurt will beat in a regular rythm It will come like nature is normal You will see The clenched hands will enlong And the heart that gaurds itself from hurt will beat in a regular rythm It will come like nature is normal with Being whole with itself.
And it will come you surely know Not all will rock us not all will hit And what will open to us Is waiting
In-joy |

I like that in the clip different people put their face in the "God" picture.
Beautiful, Yonatan; I'd forgotten about this song - it was very popular, back in the 90s!

Hebrew Song.
Berry Saharof, That's How it Is to Love You
Don't look far Stay Close Because that's how it is To love yourself Not in front of the mirror Go Inside Yes that can Wake you up
Look into her eyes Bite your lip Till it pains you, Just a little Inside you she is waiting For you to jump into the water And open your eyes Till it stings you, just a little Inside you you will know
Come, come and help to pour a little light into this dark hole Just don't, don't go far No don't leave Because that's how it is to love you
Look into her eyes Bite your lip Till it pains you, Just a little Inside you she is waiting For you to jump into the water And open your eyes Till it stings you, just a little Inside you you will know
