Hi, I am a Buddhist meditator who over the last few months has been doing a lot of breath-energy work as described in brief in this talk. It involves associating breaths with perceived motions of energy around an internal representation of the body.
Since listening to that talk, I have been doing a meditation where roughly speaking I see the body as represented in the breath energy, and see the energy dissipating into space. I do this on both the in-breath and the out-breath.
This seems harmless and like a great way to attend to dissolution of bodily formations. I am curious about other people's experience with this kind of manipulation. It definitely goes against the grain not to fabricate any kind of formful breath energy, so critical feedback is welcome. Does this sound like anything which comes up in pranayama yoga?
