Does it matter for some background yoga music while doing DM? In my experience some yoga music helps a bit, and at the same time serves as a time keeper of 20 minutes. What are your experience about it#65311; |

DM is about coming back to the mantra again and again. Music is another distracting element stimulating your nervous system and with that making it more difficult to dive into silent bliss.
From experience, music is not of a true help, just may sound and feel like so in the very beginning, but over time it will be clear what the best environement for meditation is. The less distraction, the easier for you.
Advanced practitioners will be able to pratice in sensualy stimulating situations aswell with good enough results, but still the results are better in calm and easy locations.
But you have the option to test it out, so no need to rely on others experiences in this :) You are also welcome to report your own experiences. A good testing method is to try one (A) for a week, then skip to the other variant (B) for another week and then come back to the first variant (A) for another week. Latest by the forth week (B) you should know for sure which is better for diving deep into pure bliss consiousness :) |
