Why do you need inner silence if you can be ecstatic 24/7? The question comes because, in Yogani's lessons, practices like spinal breathing and kechari are for ecstatic conductivity and deep meditation is for inner silence. So one would be tempted to skip deep meditation and just do spinal breathing and kechari all the time. Probably that's why in Kriya yoga, the kriya pranayam is more emphasized than meditation. Any comments?

Hi Gentlep,

One of the interesting things about living in ecstasy is that you soon get used to it. And then, after a while, you find yourself asking the question: "what next?". Ecstasy is not the end game in human evolution, love is, and without love ecstasy is pretty meaningless, like most things in fact. So there is a natural calling of the soul for more, and greater evolution. The transition from ecstasy to divine love is not possible without the cultivation of stillness, silence, peace and equanimity. These must be cultivated through meditation.

Thank you for a nice post, Christi.
I suppose even the overloading risk might increase without the meditation (like people running into rare experiences through doing only Bhastrika)...

there is a lesson about that topic
http://www.aypsite.org/258.html

check it out gentlep.... if ecstasy is not grounded by inner silence the sweetness of it will soon turn into nightmare...

HathaTeacher….Bhastrika is such a powerful pranayama..did it during my ATTC few years back but avoided it later on....
