Greetings
I am looking for a substitute practice for Mahamudra. I have a bad knee and cannot do the Mahamudra. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

If what you are looking for is an alternative to holding heel on perineum, we here at AYP sometimes use a rolled up sock as a substitute If you are looking for an easier way to sit, in AYP we often sit in a chair with back support, feet on the floor.

You can sit in a chair and keep one heel for sidasana and rest the other leg which is much easier to do than sitting and doing it.

Hi Goldbear,

Just put both legs out front, and bring your head towards your knees. Then spread your legs apart and bring your head down towards the floor in front of you. You'll get almost the same benefit as mahamudra.
