- The way a dreamworld starts breaking apart in the movie reminded me of the concept of Pralaya (dissolution/collapse of entire cosmos). The world is a dream of Brahma and it will dissolve at Pralaya. http://www.godrealized.com/Pralaya.html
- If the world is a dream of Brahma, it means everything is a projection of Brahma. Which means we are all one.
- Meditation is the way to release from this illusion of the idea of being a sepearate individual.
- This illusion (personal dreaming) ends for the one who has awakened and realsied the true Self. But what about the rest?
Existence and content are non-separate in the fundamental nature of the Reality. The cosmic vibration of the universal psyche pulsates in every speck of space and projects the vast body of the physical world in the same way as the individual consciousness materialises itself. The universe exists as long as there is faith of the individual in its existence. But the Self-realization of the individual does not totally destroy the objective universe, because, though the world is the production of the thought of the individual in relation to its own life, the power that sustains the outer world is in the totality of the mentations of all the individuals constituting the universe.
This totality of minds is the cosmic mind a part of which is the individual mind. The dissolution of the universe in Self-Knowledge is only in relation to the consciousness of the individual concerned and therefore does not hold good in relation to other conscious centres which are of a different stage of evolution. ~Moksha Gita
- Just like we see in the movie, Maya has developed a natural defence mechanism in every being to protect itself. This defence mechanism is called Ego.
And some great quotes from the movie:
Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange. ~Cobb
Listen, there's something you should know about me... about inception. An idea is like a virus, resilient, highly contagious. The smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you. ~Cobb
