Swami Chidananda :"spirituality is like ascending a ladder...u go step by step...then once you reach the top of the ladder you have to give up the ladder in order to become on the roof...from the roof the view will be real...the question is what is That attracts you to the Self...what is the component in you that attracts you to the Self and ultimately unify you with It ? i will give an example, you have a magnet and small pieces of metal, you keep on pushing the metal pieces step by step closer to the magnet,then at one point... BLAM...the pieces are glued to the magnet.Same thing in the case of the jiva. the Self in him reaches out and unite him with the Self.So in the end it turns out that what you are searching for is You...you are That.." (then Swamiji started laughing from all his heart :)))...
