The rationale:

The Greater NY region here includes part of NY, NJ, CT, and even MA, with NYC as its center. There are enough aypers and strong interest in this area to make a regional retreat happen. The aypers in this region are also physically relatively close for a number of participators to gather in one of the central places. Yogani says ideally we need 3-4 retreats a year. Regional mini-retreats are easier to organize and realize than international retreats. So, to organize 3-4 regional retreats are totally practical.

The plan:

A. Place: somewhere in NYC or New Jersey where there's a relative concentration of aypers, including some of our retreat members. Rohini, Jhankhna and Shuchi, I heard you guys are intersted in throwing a local retreat. How abt making it a regional retreat? Is there a facility we can rent, or a family house?

B. Leaders and participants: we are lucky enough to have Shweta to lead the retreat if it's happening in a weekend, not in thanksgiving period. Anyone who's interested should raise his/her hand, or contact me.

C. Time: a weekend in November or early December. Not in thanksgiving, 'cos we want Shweta to come!

D. Schedule and format: well, we have a great model handy, maybe simplify it a bit?

If interested in participation, please let me know. We can start to work out time and place once we have an idea of how many will come!

Any comments, suggestions, any input will be appreciated.

Let's make it happen together!
