Love overflowing
Prostrating in surrender
I humbly let go

Uninhibited
Resting in the Divine flow
All is perfection

Suffering is gone
Embracing the whole of Life
Pure bliss consciousness

Nothing left to do
We become a conduit
All is seen as Self

Arriving back home
The journey has just begun
Time to start living

Emptiness is known
To be empty of itself
Nothing left to be

Except life itself.

Love!

New Koan

If the one hundredth monkey
washes his potatoes
than do all the Bodhisattvas
finally get to enter Nirvana?

I just re-read these, and got chills/goosebumps.

Good freakin' job, Brother Carson.

Hey Everyone and thanks for the kind words

I don't write poetry very often (I used to write song lyrics a lot, but actual poetry just isn't my thing.....not usually anyways) but when I feel the need, I just let 'er rip. This one flowed out in about the same amount of time it takes to read it.

@ Suryakant and Stevenbhow....I'm truly sorry for my ignorance, but what's up with the "hundredth monkey" thing? Am I missing something? Obviously I am Please fill me in.

@ Kirtanman.....glad you felt "the flow" from these words. Everytime I re-read this I get tossed back into the moment of inspiration....it gives me goosebumps/chills too. Glad you enjoyed.

Moments of Silence
Washing over me like waves
This is who I am.

Love!

I don't remember the details exactly, but there was an experiment done on a remote island somewhere with monkeys. I think originally ten monkeys were taught to wash their potatoes. Over time other monkeys began to learn the skill. When the 100th monkey started washing his potatoes suddenly all the monkeys on the island started to wash their potatoes as well whether they had been taught the skill or not.

Basically, the idea is that if enough people begin meditating eventually we'll reach a critical mass and everyone on the planet will take up the practice and change the world.
Though, I think the original idea was applied to sustainable living.

Beautiful poem, btw!
