Hi, I am wondering if someone can offer me a tip how to overcome a state which I can describe like "energy congested" For some reason, it feels like the energy keeps lifting from the root upwards to my stomach but then it stays there and moves no further upwards in meditation. I wonder if that is some type of temporary condition, or maybe there are some asanas that you can recommend which can help me move the energy upwards, and release that pelvic area from pressure... thank you |

Hi Denislav,
There are a lot of practices which will help to raise the prana up above the stomach. Spinal breathing pranayama is a key one, and then there are others such as sambhavi, YMK, dynamic jalandhara, kechari mudra, heart breathing, cosmic samyama etc. It all depends on what your time line is, and what you are ready (and willing) to take on in terms of practices if you are not doing those already.

In terms of asanas, the inversion postures are useful for bringing the energy above the belly and activating the higher centres. This does not need to mean head stand or shoulder stand if those are too hard. Asanas such as standing head to knees or downward dog are also inversion practices and are useful in this respect.

This is a useful pose for raising prana to the heart :

It could be that your kundalini is still rising and trying to pierce/clean out the chakra at that point. If that is the case, then it should just be a matter of time. |
