Today after my bike ride, an impulse told me to lie down on the ground in savasana pose. So I did. When I closed my eyes, it felt like my entire body started spinning. My feet felt like they were flipping up towards my head and my head felt like it was flipping down toward my feet, as if my body were spinning upon a central point or fulcrum.
After a couple of minutes this subsided, but my left hand continued to strongly vibrate. After a minute or two of this I decided to get up and carry on. But I was a tad woozy from the experience. It took me a minute once I stood up to really regain my composure and get my bearings straight.
Any thoughts?
PS...During my morning qigong sessions my body has started spontaneously shaking in the last few months, much more strongly and violently of late. Today I smiled for most of this but spontaneoulsy cried through some of it. I consider this to be my body/mind/spirit letting go/releasing. Thought this piece of info might be relavent to your input/thoughts about the scenario above. |

Hello Solo,
I have had many experiences like this when fasting. I can't say for sure, but perhaps low hydration levels can stimulate this situation. It doesn't mean that it wasn't a spiritual experience. Of course, Native Americans and sadhus have been using fasting as a means for increasing Divine communion for 1000's of years.
However, I should also caution readers: I am not suggesting that people dehydrate themselves just to stimulate the prana currents.
Nonetheless, since you asked for any thoughts, I thought I'd share mine.
Blessings! |
