Letting go
Sometimes letting go
is the courage to face my pain,
the courage to fall,
like a child learning to walk,
with all the falls and all the tears,
because he wants to run free,
to explore and play.
Sometimes letting go means losing
what the mind holds dear;
friends may never be seen again;
the security of routines may break,
and all the chaos holding them together
will have no mercy.
Standing in the light will always
cast my shadow and no matter which
way I walk, it will follow me
until I face it and release it.
And sometimes, the spoken words,
did not mean what they said,
and one must have the courage to fall,
and let them go……..
