Hi Yogani, Two points I would like your clarification on pl.: 1.Since YMK is a practice more related to Ecstatic Conductivity than to DM, would it not be more logical to do it before DM than after DM as you have recommended in your lessons ?
2. Is YMK considered effective only if, during each breath one sees the annular bright golden ring sorrounding a purple core with a white star in the centre ? Krish |

Hi Krish:
1. Yoni mudra can be done anywhere in the routine with equal effect. In the Eight Limbs of Yoga book "practice chart," it is before meditation at the intermediate level and after meditation at the advanced level, mainly to make room for additions of chin pump and bastrika before meditation. How these energy practices are arranged in the routine is more a matter of comfort and convenience than anything. In some systems bastrika is done before spinal breathing, and that is okay too. Whatever works best for the practitioner. However, the sequence of core practices, including spinal breathing, deep meditation and samyama should not be rearranged. The sequencing of these is important.
2. No. Visions or other experiences during practice are not necessarily an indication of the effectiveness of the practice. They are "scenery." With or without the scenery, we are moving ahead. The measure of our practice is in how we feel during normal daily activity outside our practice.
The guru is in you.

Yogani, thanks for the clarification. I suppose one can consider oneself at the advanced level if one has successfully incorporated all of the concurrent practices in one's routine gradually over 12 months, even if one does not experience any of the "symptoms" of an awakened K, barring, of course, a steady inner silence. krish. |

Hi Krish:
And we will be even more advanced when less of everything is needed. We will know it when we see it. Self-pacing is the ultimate spiritual practice.
The guru is in you.
