Rinn na Mara

A Seapoint in Dublin

An ordinary stop
off the dart that is mind

Rinn na Mara

Where now meets here
And every tide is valid

Look!
Spirit walks in ordinary shoes

Rinn na Mara

A place to bathe
a tender heart

A soothing dip
for the humming hand

Salty tears
Touching wings and lips
On their way towards the earthy embrace

A sea-weed garden
To water the liminal point
between knowing and not knowing

Rinn na Mara

A point of no return
A sea of love
A land of gracious grit

A coola boula dance
Among light-feathered birds and boulders of grief

Sprays, sparkles and sandy souls are paired
at Rinn na Mara

Taken and shaken
Stirred and poured

into you

Yes you -
the reader of poems

Slainte Mhath!

Such grace to be emptied by you.....
