sometimes when hanging out with friends I will be laughing cause something is funny or what not and then it is almost like I say to myself or notice that I am laughing and then I stop, become serious. its like a little glitch or something, like wait, what am I doing, Im not supposed to be laughing, life is serious, |

I have recently observed the powerful spiritual effects from laughing. Most of us have seen how laughing can alleviate tension and is a good release. There is plenty of evidence that laughter can be healing on many levels.
The other day I had the opportunity to attend a show with a series of live comedians. It happened to be a very good night and I spent a solid 2 hours laughing more or less non-stop. Didn't think much of it other than having really enjoyed it. That night as I lay down to sleep, the veil into the infinite lifted, which of course is just scenery, but it pointed to the powerful effects that laughing could have to clear out emotional debris.
Recently since then, I have made more of an effort to listen to comedians, watch comedy etc. pretty enjoyable spiritual practice. |
