Hi Raja
I am certainly no expert regarding nadis, but the theme of purification runs through all the AYP writings, so it is a good suggestion to start looking through some of Yoganis relevant lessons. The link below
http://www.aypsite.org/TopicIndex.html
will take you to the topic index and if you look under "Purification and Openings" and "Nadis" there are relevant lessons, starting with this:
http://www.aypsite.org/94.html
As for "how long does it take to raise the kundalini"....this is completely individual. Noones process is the same. For some it takes years, for others it seems to happen fast (but who knows what they have gone through in previous lives). If you are not practising Spinal Breathing Pranayama, then you can read about it in the lesson here:
http://www.aypsite.org/41.html
Coupled with Deep Meditation these are the two main practices in the AYP system. Both stimulate the the rise of ecstatic conductivity (or Kundalini as you call it) - but it is Deep Meditation that cultivates the foundation of inner silence.
I know of several loving, compassionate and highly aware people who appearantly does not have a risen Kundalini, and yet the transforming and loving effect these people have had - and still has - on others and on life here has been tremendously purifying. They are walking open hearts (and they often don't "know" it). There is nothing more enlightening (at least seen from here) than seeing love in action
If you are interested in "enlightenment milestones" you can read these posts:

It is good to always remember that the rise of Kundalini is not a goal for itself. Embodiment of Divine love cannot happen without the foundation of inner silence. And it is embodiment.... that is the crux of the matter, therefore the practice of Deep Meditation is at the core of everything in the AYP system. So...one can have a risen Kundalini, yet not be properly grounded/balanced in inner silence.... And it is always the latter that is the most crucial.
Also....the best validation I know of when it comes to the assessing of purification...(the level of embodiment of divine love)....is in the lived life of every individual. It is the way the open heart transforms our inner drives into compassionate outflows that eventually embrace all of nature and all human beings. It starts right where we are...in our own homes, families and places of work and expands naturally from there.
It is certainly not happening overnight......therefore patience with ones own process....is a blessing. Coupled with sincerity.....a love for truth....and a willingness to accept whatever life is dealing of trials and challenges......is luckily much more crucial than "knowing" in advance how long it will take to "get there" :) We get nowhere. We are just more and more here...deeper and deeper into our very presence.
At the same time....today is always the day for applying what one has come to "know" regarding the inner preciousness. It is always about love, isn't it...... So even if the process of embodiment involves time..... it is never too late...or too soon....to act from loving kindness.
A smile even..... can often change outcomes in ways never to be fathomed :)
I wish you all the best, and I am sure there are many here who can chip in with their perspectives on your questions

PS Also - I highly reccomend Yoganis book:
Bhakti & Karma Yoga
It translates the whole issue of purification into a practical lived experience/outcome on a daily basis |
