Is deep meditation compatible with the technique of the body scan?

I found that after decades of physical stress two sessions of deep meditation do not make an awful lot of inroad into several stress related discomforts, but I found out also that the body scan technique (wanderung through the body with uninvolved attention) does help strongly in this regard.

Can I combine the two?

Hello tom,And welcome to AYP.

It's so great to have you with us!!.

I used to use a body scan, to identify areas of tension, patterns of holding in the physical body , in order to sytematically release those areas , as a preliminary to the surrender and let GO process of deep meditation,& engaging with the mantra..

So in that sense, you could combine the two.

Also Give DM some time ,as there is an acclimitisation window or 'clunky' period of about 10-14 days perhaps, before the vibrational frequencies of the mantra are sufficiently absorbed by your nervous system.. what follows is a kind of re-tuning... mental, emotional and physical etc

Check out first, if you have'nt done so already

Any issues or concerns, please let us know.

The mantra really opens your heart to begin with ,least this is what happened to me.

Lots of Love
Akasha
