I think everyone is an agnostic deep down. If souls live in our hearts and minds, then can they be kidnapped and held captive? The author feels a mysterious force sweep away his soul, he embarks on a spiritual quest and appeals to an unusual being for help - the devil. http://bit.ly/mq3Px

I think the concept of a soul and the devil are pretty much Jewish, Christian, or Muslim. So for Yogis I don't think the idea of having your soul swept away really works.

hum... yea soul being "swept" away sounds odd... there still can be a battle of good and evil though within the soul

The soul is your consciousness in union with your karma. It's not something you own that can be taken away. That is based on a misconception of who we are.
