Hi everyone. I have one big problem. 1,5 year ago I had kundalini awakening after reading Eckhart Tolles book The Power of Now but I didn´t know that it is kundalini so I searched through internet I thought that it must be anxiety or something like that so I red the book by Donna Eden: Energy medicine if you know that book and there were neurovascular points on head to hold to relieve anxiety. And you know I had huge amount of energy congested in my head and as I was holding those points that energy somehow gone through my hands through whole bode and I experienced something like breakdown of whole energy body and now it seems that I don´t have any aura and I am missing track of what I am thinking, and I began to be a lot anxious like I must hold tightly mi fists and fingers, also I had trouble to concentrate at all. (now stabilized by psychiatric medications). And I have no idea what happened. Maybe huge amount of energy gone through me or something like that and my nervous system didn´t handled it??? Is there possibility to repair it somehow? The Deep Meditation? Or it is permanent condition.
Please help |

Dear truthseeker
I am sorry to hear of your experience. My advice would be not to meditate for the moment. I would suggest more basic grounding 'yoga': good food, plenty of sleep, plenty of exercise, socialising quietly with friends, manual work, patience with yourself. Let the whole experience settle down and your anxieties release themselves. As you feel a bit better, and with the advice of your doctor, see if you can come off the psychiatric medicine. Carry on with a basic grounding lifestyle. When feelings come, however acute, try to relax into them and surrender, whether they are kundalini sensations or associated anxieties. Practice feeling such feelings 'full-bodily', and beyond, opening them up all the way to the horizon. In crisis, just turn and stare down the feelings, rather than internally try to escape. 'Walk towards them' and straight through them, picturing yourself as an invincible lion. You will become confident, with such practice, that they cannot harm you. When you have become used to all this inner 'theatre', using such methods, and you are no longer afraid of it, then you may be ready to start more advanced practice again. I would recommend at that point following Yogani's teaching to the letter, and avoiding trying to jump-start your efforts with advaita teachers. It is not for nothing that there are lions and demons depicted at the gate of the spiritual path, or that Upasani Maharaj threw bricks at those who would come and practise with him. The easy availability of the highest secrets of the spiritual paths is not without a potential cost for the unwary. There is no way of avoiding all the aspects of the path, and getting too many all in one go before you are ready is a recipe for pain and suffering. But if you relax and let the worst of this pass, you can start again, having this time 'counted the cost' in advance.
Festina lente, as they used to say in Latin. Hasten slowly.
Hope this is helpful

Hi truthseeker,
I don't think it's a permanent condition. Are you doing any spiritual practices? If so, it would help to know what they are.
Chinna's advice about grounding is very good, although I don't know if avoiding meditation altogether is the answer.
Sometimes hatha yoga (asanas/postures) can help stabilize the energy. Classes and books on hatha yoga are easy to find here, but I don't know how it is in Slovakia. Light on Yoga by BKS Iyengar is a good source for hatha yoga. Sports, walking, exercise can help too.
I would suggest listening to your doctor about the anxiety.
I wish you a strong recovery.

Cosmic, I hope too that it is not permanent. Actually I partly fixed it by Reiki attunement by Steve Murray, now I hove more energy but it is stagnating in my head like kundalini or life force energy and I have trouble concentrating. I started to do Deep Meditation a few days ago (to clear the nadis?, and energy body from all acumulated stuff).I do Microcosmic Orbit to somehow cycle the stagnated energy, partly with success. We have a few esoteric shops with books here in Slovakia also about Yoga and asanas but classes aren´t very wide spread at least not in our city. But books in English aren´t problem I think so I can order some from abroad. Doctor tells about serious illnesses as shizophormic psychosis (but I don´t have any hallucinations, just trouble with energy and memory, concetration and things related with these)and depersonalisation, derealisation (what was caused by too much energy in my head). I think that I am misdiagnosed because I think that it is kundalini and short-circuited kundalini through my body. Problem is that whole kundalini from my crown chakra gone through my energy system (when I was holding my crown chakra) and that it somehow I hope not damaged it. Like when you let go too high voltage go trough cable. And yes, I am taking medications for anxiety too and successfully lowering dosages. I will try some Yoga asanas.
Thanks for replies people. |

Hi truthseeker,
welcome to the forums!
I don't have time to answer your questions right now, and I'm also sure that there are much more experienced yogis here which will do so. But from my own experience, I'm pretty convinced that there is a way to stabilize your state, and that you can find it here.
You arrived at the right place! Stay tuned...
Namaste to a neighbor,
