For those of you who may not be all that familiar with the yogic practice of Kirtan (group call-and-response chanting of mantras, usually with musical/rhythmic accompaniment) -- here's a good overview video by well-known kirtan recording artist/yogi, Dave Stringer.
(One of my favorite quotes about yogic practice, period, comes from Dave Stringer: "Yoga is not about belief; yoga is about practice." (<- Said as part of his spoken intro regarding what "kirtan is all about", at the first kirtan I did with Dave, back in 2005 or 2006.)
Aaaand ... if you're interested in the sort of thing that causes someone to pick a username such as "kirtanman" at an online yoga forum .... this ---> ... is basically, pretty much exactly it (that sort of thing .... as in: whether you really like it ... or "not so much" .... the following video shows you what contemporary, American "kirtanning" is like).
Aaaaand ... if you feel like taking the chants ... and honing your Sanskritical-singing skills ... the lyrics-mantra (that they're chant-singing in the video) are/is quite simple:
Govinda Jaya Jaya Gopala Jaya Jaya Radha Ramana Hari
