Hey All,
If anyone is interested in learning Sanskrit, this group:
http://www.samskritabharati.org/sb/...n-samskritam
... offers some great resources, including distance-learning CDs/DVDs, and such.
It's *not* like dry, academic language learning @ all .... they have a very nice/fun way of teaching (I did a couple of classes with them in 2006, in California), and their entire "mission" is a mission: they teach Sanskrit as a "yoga" - another method to get in touch with unitive awareness, by *speaking* Sanskrit (ultimately, sacred languages are about their sound, more than the written form, or even the conventional meaning, of the words).
And so, I just wanted to start a thread with a link to Samskrita Bharati's site (link above).
There are some other resources which might be better if you just want to familiarize yourself with Sanskrit vocabulary (yogic terms, and such), as opposed to actually learning the language ... I'll post those, too, in the near future, in this thread as well.

*Who may have interest, etc. etc. (learning Sanskrit is *not* a requirement for enlightenment -- I just wanted to post the resource as something "kinda coo'". in case anyone's interested.)

Some Other Sanskrit Learning resources, as mentioned in my first post, above.
American Sanskrit Institute http://www.americansanskrit.com/
Good, easy yogically-oriented learning tools; good articles on the power, beauty and scientific structure/usefulness of Sanskrit, as well.
** Sanskrit Learning Tools from IIT Madras http://acharya.iitm.ac.in/sanskrit/tutor.html
Good tutorials and lessons, including on learning Devanagari (Sanskrit alphabet).
