Hi everybody,

From now on, I'll participate in the forum as "christiane",my real name, not "goddessinside" anymore..
I also put the country I live in.
These are small details, but they came from a realization that I have nothing to hide to anybody.
Also, each time I see "goddessinside", the old username-and it happens as many times as I log in the forum!so it has become like a mantra!- I feel I need to drop this "goddess" thing..
So, from now on, I'll be 100% myself! I am responsible for everything I say and share..

Have a bright shiny day.

Hi Christiane
Lovely to meet you again in the new now
The sun is shining here in Dublin, as our little planet rolls around being bathed in this sunlight, as we tiny specks find ways to say hello from distant places.
All is well
Louis

Hi christiane

There is nothing wrong with your nick but understand why you want to change. When originally signing up for the forum years ago I wanted to choose a nick but couldn't come up with anything representative so winded up sticking with my name. (my ideas at the time were less poetic than yours such as: dull&crabby, nervous_system, etc)

Hello christiane,

very nice to meet you.

My name is Sam, i'm 35,male and from Glasgow, United Kingdom. There, that was'nt so difficult. Good to creep out from the woodwork.

I'm stilllittle undecided if relative anonymity is either a good thing or not.It could inhibit one discussing certain things, but then also make one more responsible and honest..I guess that could be a trade-off in derving some benefit from a forum such as this.More work to do in this respect( a great deal more!!). Does it matter? Probably not.and probably a good thing in the long run. i know i love deceving myself on a daily basis.

should probably do the same thing. use my name instead of 'akasha'.i know ayp is all aboout letting go, the gentle 'unwinding of ego' and all that. I do sense that folk here will not judge my flaws,( least not that much.)

love
Sam

Hi Christiane.......from Lebanon.....,

There is a beautiful spring rain happening here in Calgary right now, and it seems as if it is time to let that rain wash away our fears and inhibitions and cleanse us so that we can shine our true radiant natural beauty. I can see your shine all the way over here!

Love,
Carson

hi Christy, it's a lot nicer and easier calling you Christy rather than Goddessinside.

as most of you know my name is Ananda and i'm from Lebanon as well, but i must admit that i don't like or give too much care to labels like Lebanese, french, Saudi, english, educated, poor, rich, etc. it's all just labels, which we are better off if we don't identify with for i am isn't any of these labels. neti neti.

this topic reminded of a little story i've read in the book awareness for Anthony de Mello:

it goes smthg like this: an Indian prisoner inside a Pakistani jail was promised that he'll have the chance to take a look at his mother land India, and when the day came the officers took him out of his cell and escorted him in a truck to a mountainous area where they took him out to enjoy the scenery.

and when the guy was out of the truck he started saying oh my Lord thk you God i see indian trees indian rivers indian land indian mountains, birds, plants, rocks......

then suddenly after 10 minutes an officer came over and told him sorry but we gotta move on we still have 20 miles ahead of us to reach the borders.

light and love,

Ananda

haha thank you for the laugh, Ananda!
(just imagine the same story with a Lebanese/syrian or Lebanese/Israeli version! Nothing wrong, eh? )

Totally agree with the identification with labels..
The need to drop my old nickname came naturally along with a feeling of dropping many old stuffs of the past: I felt like a snake letting go off its old skin.

"I" am not "Christiane" either, but at least, it has no "image or attribute" in it, and it's shorter And you can call me Christy or even Chris, even shorter..

By the way, I should change my name more often so we can see more of Shanti's talents in drawing

Thank you all for the kind words

Yes, absolutely

What if we all drop our nicknames on this forum and call ourselves "Neti neti"..
Each one would have a number.. Like Netineti1, Netineti2, etc...

(ok forget about it! )
