Dharana – Means, “focused attention.” The sixth limb of the eight limbs of yoga from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Dharana is the first stage of meditation, and also of samyama, when the attention is focused in a particular way on either a mantra or a sutra. (from the Sanskrit Glossary here: http://www.aypsite.org/glossary.html)

Love,
Carson
