Hi,
John Hagelin Ph.D.
Perhaps I've never heard anyone talk so beautifully on Inner Silence, in the language of western science. Looks like we're actually there! How exciting!
The Superstring Field, The Unified Field, The Akashic Field, The Metacosmic Void, The Pregnant Void, Stillness, Inner Silence........
What are the physics of consciousness? How was the knowledge of enlightenment lost? If we once knew it, how could we end up there where we are? Do the teachings of Maharishi fit into western elementary education? Is Enlightenment religious or scientific? How come, I and you are one? Are you getting it...?
Enjoy....

hmmmm. Not that I'm not hip to this unity business, but come on. Remember when everything used to be linked to magnetism? Then came electromagnetic stuff. All of a sudden everything, even heaven, was somehow based on EM fields, etc. Now we're into the quantum theory term being used to explain everything. Strings! Yikes!
Perhaps, science is getting closer to ancient truths. Or flimflam is getting more poetic. Ancient wisdom? Yup, castes, blood-letting, burning wives when husbands die, and so forth.
There is a deep disconnect between personal inner growth and its outer expression. I just saw some groups selling some new age necklace pendent cause it harnesses the quantum field (?). That's the disconnect expressed in commercial terms.
Oops. Maybe I should not drink coffee.

Hi Josef,
I'm not gonna argue with you, if you don't mind. This was meant to entertain. Maybe you had too much coffee, or maybe I did...
best of luck,

Hi again,
see Dr. Fred Alan Wolf talk...
Wolf received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from UCLA in 1963 and began researching the field of high atmospheric particle behavior following a nuclear explosion.........--->>.........Wolf has taught at San Diego State University, the University of Paris, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the University of London, and Birkbeck College.

Another interesting man would be
William Tiller Ph.D.
William Tiller is a teacher, researcher, author and consultant, and is currently Professor Emeritus of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. He has carried out experiments with highly trained Tibetan monks, and found that their intentions can 'condition' space in a machine on an atomic level (subatomic technically).
Q:When someone would stop you on the street and say: I would like to go deeper into your discoveries and your work, what do I need to do? A:I think that it's really important for the humans to become more and more inner self-managed. First step to that is learning and appreciating meditation, so you can reduce the noise level inside. Second thing, when that's accomplished, is to start to play with your own internal energies -that gets into practices like Chi Gong. What you need next are biofeedback devices.....

Hi Mimirom,
Have you read The Tao of Physics by Capra? His writings pretty much brought me to Buddhism. Also, The Intention Experiment is another good one along the same lines. I think quantum physics has brought scientists to a point where they can no longer look at natural phenomenon from a purely objective point of view. Which is interesting, since many of the world's religious and spiritual traditions have been claiming non-duality is the Truth all along. |

How can non-duality be a truth? |

How can the Truth that nothing is separate be wrong? |

Hi Steve and Ether,
thanks for commenting.
I've read "The Turning Point" and "The Web Of Life" (partially), both from F.Capra. He was one of my favorite authors.

Good bye, Descartes....

Hi,
this is a rather rare opportunity to see David Lynch speak publicly about his private life. Did you know that he is a 30+ years experienced meditator(TM)? I didn't.. In this public speech, held at the Majestic Theater in Boston, he gets very emotional while talking about his encounters with inner silence. One can notice the confused faces of the non-spiritual part of the audience... Very interesting....
“Consciousness, Creativity, and the Brain” Speakers: David Lynch, Dr. John Hagelin, Dr. Fred Travis

There isn't just one. There are a series of them. Each person gets one of them. Advanced techniques elaborate on each mantra.
BTW, I don't see any value in reuse of these mantras by non-TM practitioners. |
