Has anybody who has been doing practices for a few years tried doing this for an extended period of time? I increasingly find my attention being drawn to the third eye during practices, and it seems like keeping awareness there instantly stills my mind and raises energy. The main point I'm making is, can anybody here instantly enter the superconscious state by simply lifting the gaze? Anyone regularly just gaze there for a while in their spare moments?

A book I have says that true mastery of pranayama is the ability to enter the superconscious state at will simply by lifting the gaze.

Hello IcedEarth,

I tried gazing at the third eye when I first read this post. No superconsciousness, but the lamp flickered and my PC turned off by itself.

Had to reboot. Thanks!

Hi,
I find that by dipping the head slightly I can change the consciousness instantly. Gazing at the thrid eye gives me temporary pain as energy travels from the third eye.
