The video clip of Thokar on this kriya yoga website link noted above by "alwayson" raises several issues.

1. Is Thokar the same practice as Dynamic chin pump? Thokar appears very gentle on the Kriya yoga video clip, (as compared to Dynamic chin pump instruction in AYP lessons which seems to be quite vigorous head sweeping down movement).

Secondly: Is there a link to some website where I could see a video clip of Dynamic chin pump?
thanks,
x.j.

Hi x.j.:

I am not aware of any video on AYP chin pump, but that may be addressed eventually here: http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic....D=4578#38988

AYP chin pump (an adaption of Kriya Thokar) is quite gentle, using only gravity to swing the head down toward the hollow of the throat in the swooping portion of rotating the head. It should be prudently self-paced according to individual need, so as not to become a strain. With the rise and stabilization of ecstatic conductivity, it can be effective as a very small movement -- part of "whole body mudra."

Here are two original lessons on chin pump:
Chin Pump: http://www.aypsite.org/139.html
Chin Pump Lite: http://www.aypsite.org/144.html
(see related nearby lessons also)

All the best!

The guru is in you.
