"For it is in giving that we receive" - true enough, yes - but the act of receiving is an act of giving as well: giving the gift of the opportunity for the giver to receive the grace that comes from giving.
When the false sense of one's limited ego-self fades away, and only the One true identity we all share remains, there is no longer a duality of giving and receiving - only an eternally spontaneous play of love.
