maha bandah i heard is a great practise.
you use breatrh retention on exhailation and then pull back, but their is a suction you can make, and roll it up, or pull that up the body. this suction is real power in the bandah. you could even take the outflowing force that runs back up the front of the body, and pull that up the back.

BUT! i think real benifit comes of this practise, only if one has the vibrating life force active first. thus! one moves much gross un refined chi or whatever ya wanna call it. any thoughts.

Hi Avatar:

It is easy to over do it with this sort of practice and end up in an energy overload, particularly if we are already doing a full daily routine of practices like AYP. So, if you must do it, then small doses are suggested, and always keep self-pacing in mind. Remember that a practice like this can have delayed effects if pursued aggressively.

The key to achieving good results with our yoga routine is building a balanced and sustainable practice over the long term. It isn't about the latest energy surge we may be stimulating. More of that is not necessarily going to be better.

Practice wisely, and enjoy!

The guru is in you.
