During the journey to my sleeping quarters in the wild redwood forest from the farm, I travel in darkness.
I have noticed that the single beam of my flashlight, which is supposed to illuminate the way, actually makes me blind.
The fake light of the worthless contraption makes the darkness around it look like pitch black and then my imagination begins to conjure up monsters in the night. It's terrifying!
So, I leave my flashlight off and let my eyes naturally adjust and I see that there is no darkness and there are no monsters there to terrify me. I can see everything!
I let out a content giggle, do a little dance, and enjoy the beautiful nights' sky.
Turn off the flashlight
