all beautiful things
we perceive with our senses
are always
being taken away from us forever
the moment
after
we perceive them


a flower
that catches your eye

is gone forever in an instant

being replaced

by an utterly different

and unique

configuration of energy

that presents

the sensory-illusion

of

looking
and
feeling
and
smelling

like the flower that caught your eye a moment before


the same
is true

for
our
bodies

our
sensations

our
emotions

and
our
thoughts


the one thing
that doesn't pass away

is

the one thing
that we all share


and that's
where beauty lives forever
