We've all seen something on TV or in real life, maybe in a book, anything that strike at the heart cords. Lately, these feelings have new symptoms. Not just a slight tingling in the eyes or a flutter of the heart. It feels as if the energy is moving upward into the brain, maybe up through the face. As with many of these things, it is hard to characterize. It feels like it always did only now there is a deeper inner perception of it, as if it can now be traced in some way.
My question is, has anyone felt these sensations rising up through the body? When the heart recognizes something, does the chakra in the region emanate a vibration or current? Sometimes people will get watery eyes, their voice will choke up for just a second. Is this burst of energy originating from the heart? If not, does anyone have any ideas on what is occurring in the specific cases?
I've read some of Yogananda, and he says one should practice laying still and consciously filling the body with bliss, or accessing ecstasy and holding it in the body. Would this be related to these burst of energy that may or may not be originating from the heart chakra?
