Was Swami Sri Yukteswar correct that the sun is not a stationary object in which our planets revolve even though it violates Newton's Principia? I thought that the theory that the sun is orbiting/or interacting with an unknown sister star (possibly Sirius) was a fascinating subject that better explained the reason the earth precesses backward than what is currently held as fact by the scientific community. And also presented the possibility, which Walter Cruttenden further explains, for higher states of consciousness, due to the earth passing though another stars electromagnetic field.

quote:
In Lost Star of Myth and Time (2006), Walter Cruttenden argues that our mythological records indicate that our solar system is part of a binary star system. This would mean that our sun has a “companion” star somewhere out there. Cruttenden’s quest in origin relies on The Holy Science, by Swami Sri Yukteswar, written in 1894.

Cruttenden argues that the solar system is revolving in a vast 24,000-year cycle around a companion star. “As it does, the Earth is carried through a magnetic or electromagnetic (EM) field of another star. […] At times in this cycle human development and consciousness are positively affected, achieving an almost enlightened state; at other times they are in decline, growing dense and barbaric – but inevitably awakening again with the next arc of celestial motion.” This is therefore linked with the various myths, which speak of a past “Golden Age”, and the prediction that such an age will recur in the future.
If we are part of a binary system, the orbit of the solar system around the core would be – most likely – an oval, whereby the solar system – and our Earth – would periodically find itself closer or farther from this core. Cruttenden argues that the distance from this core and the path of the solar system will move us through different electromagnetic fields, resulting in different “ages”, cycles – or as some cultures call it, “suns”. In short, Cruttenden’s theory provides a logical framework which neatly incorporates the beliefs of many ancient civilisations, which spoke of recurring cycles of times, rather than the linear process of cultural development which is in scientific vogue today...

The sun contains 99% of the mass in the solar system, but only 1% of the angular momentum, if the sun is not moving. This is a major problem with the lunisolar model, because the proportion of angular momentum to mass should be constant among objects in the system. The binary model solves this problem. If the sun is moving at the proper speed and angle to provide for the 24,000 year cycle rather than being stationary, then its ratio of angular momentum to mass is right on target...

...The earth's distance, period and velocity were hopelessly at variance with each other according to the gravitation law, but the distance and period had been established by observation and could not be adjusted. Also, the sun's size in connection with these elements presented an awkward problem...

After many a headache over the situation, the calculators of the day had given up, and had conceded that the basis of velocities in Nature must be other than in Newton's work and had offered the poor parody of gravitational relations on the part of Sun and Earth which is current in the astronomy books of today.

In late 2002 we traveled to the outback of Australia to view a total eclipse of the Sun and discussed the Sun’s motion and related topics with Tom Van Flandern, former head of U.S. Naval Observatory. Conclusion: eclipse cycles indicate the earth moves 360 degrees around the sun in a tropical year, inconsistent with current lunisolar precession theory...

This is very interesting:

Another incredible chunk of information....There are some bizarre things going on with the Sun and the properties of light in space. John Keely says that the Sun and stars are invisible when viewed from space. Light only manifests when in the presence of a gas which serves as a percussive medium for the Aether to allow the generation of light through interference; thereby slowing the Aether to lower frequencies.

Rudolph Steiner also says that the Sun and stars are invisible from space. Tom Brown (of Borderland Sciences in California) says he talked on the phone to one astronaut who said they could not take pictures of the Sun or stars UNLESS the camera was inside the ship (where there is air). On hearing this, Tom called NASA and asked the Public Information Officer if the Sun could be seen from space. The PIO said of course.

At that point Tom explained about the story he was working on and that he had talked to an astronaut who confirmed the premise of no visible light from space. The PIO got very upset on the phone and said that information was not supposed to be given to the public

Maybe those enlightened souls who raised consciousness to higher vibrations could actually view this sister sun? Things that make us go hmmm...

The invisible galaxy could only be "seen" using radio waves
Astronomers have discovered an object that appears to be an invisible galaxy made almost entirely of dark matter.

Astronomers have discovered an invisible galaxy that could be the first of many that will help unravel one of the universe's greatest mysteries.

The object appears to be made mostly of "dark matter," material of an unknown nature that can't be seen.
