I've had migraine headaches for a while. from what i conclude they are just a result from overthinking. so i was wondering if this type of meditation helped with that. orshould i try a more specific meditation?
thanks |

Hi Eddy,
As far as I understand there is not a direct relationship between meditation and headaches, unless we talk about excess energy in the head, which can cause headaches. So migraines, like you describe, most likely come because of other factors, like stress, maybe overthinking like you say, or because of biological causes.
Neither do I see meditation as a direct remedy for a headache in most cases, even if there sometimes can be felt a relief after a specific session. However, in the long run, with more inner silence in the system because of meditation, there can be a definite relief of headaches, because the causes are slowly but surely worked on from within.
For this reason, I don't think the specific type of meditation would be important, but would rather suggest that you continue with the same type of meditation as you are already doing, and let the causes of the headaches be worked on from a longer perspective. |

Hi Eddy, This may help you.. http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic....ID=1018#5687
In my case, the frequency and intensity of migraine headaches have diminished with practice. I know they are NO fun and hope you get some relief soon. |
