With various teachers and various degrees of seriousness, I have heard about protecting one's spiritual being from parasitic spiritual entities. Well respected teachers in the US and India have offered warnings and advice how to deal with protecting oneself.
I recently saw an energy worker for assistance with some problems that Western medical doctors as well as my ayurvedic physician have not been able to fully address.
This energy worker is an MD plus psychiatrist, a student of Swami Rama and Dr. Ballentine.
It is his opinion that the source of this destruction in my physical body is am unhappy entity living within me. He suggests refering me on to another kind of energy specialist.
The kinds of strange things in my physical body are hip bursa turning up in my toes, spots on my brain seen on MRIs, swollen vertebral discs and other things. The western docs say auto immune disease but it doesn't turn up in the blood.
The ayurvedic physician says big vata imbalance.
The good news from this energy worker is that my energy is flowing smoothly, is strong, very strong. He opines the result of my faith and devotion to the yoga practices.
Can someone suggest anything?
Does anyone have info regarding foreign beings living within another?
Thank you for your thoughtful and heartfelt consideration.

They have the advantage also of speaking clear English and understanding the etiology of this type of problem. Spiritual practices in and of themselves can be the cause of somatic problems. You may want to check out what they have to say about them, particularly Svoboda, since I have read all about the person who gave him excellent teaching and instruction in Ayurveda, his guru "Vimalananda", who really seemed to know what he was talking about when it came to spirits, in his biographical series "Aghora:At the Left Hand of God". I might recommend trying yourself to address the unhappy spirit and establish a line of communication, perhaps through dreams or something like that. If you "show willing" to communicate, and perhaps remedy the source of its unhappiness, then it will likely depart from you. Lilith M. --- Amanda Margolies <amandamargolies@yahoo.com> wrote:

For the spirit diagnosis, maybe have that corroborated by several other people, before believing it, especially if the idea is giving you any distress.
Amaroli is very good for vata imbalance in particular. So think of bringing this into your practice.
