Thanks, Yoda -- and -- Back atcha ....

This clip involves a mostly head-shaven, yet heavily (heavily) tattooed young-ish man of apparently Australian heritage, sitting alone in a room somewhere, speaking of truth and reality, using the symbolism of A Course in Miracles.
Dude packs more heart-wisdom (not to mention body art ... ) into a three-minute web cam clip than many spiritual teachers manage on full-length DVDs.
Best use of a web cam I've seen, since those two really hot Brazilian girls reached unspeakable ecstasy by k ... oh, nevermind, I'm sure you don't want to hear me ramble on about kirtan chanting in South America ...
... anyway ... just passing this (video clip of "Tattoo Guru" ) along, per the fact it's:
*Cool
*Fun
*Interesting
*Way Deep
*Directly addresses some of the items we've been discussing here in the forum recently, in some very eloquent ways, which (IMHO) tie certain AYP / Yogic teachings together helpfully -- by showcasing them through a slightly different "lens".
Peace & Namaste,
Kirtanman

Hello & Namaste Chiron & All,
I've only watched two of the four videos that you posted links to, above -- and I've got to pause and say:
This dude is really quite amazing.
(and he's got some serious kundalini a-flowin' -- as evidenced by his FKHW - Famous Kundalini Head-Waggle -- and the 3D Meta-Technicolor display of his Shaktirupa (ancient Sanskrit term that I just made up ... ) ... his "Life Energy Form".)
All I've got to say is J-H-T-A-D!
(Jai Holy Tattooed Australian Dude!)
I think I'd summarize his comments as follows*:
Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.
(*With a little help from the Introduction to A Course in Miracles.)
And, I concur with our friend TC (Tattoo Christ ) that spending a year doing the Lessons from A Course in Miracles can be an exceptionally worthwhile thing to do - they take only a few minutes per day, and like AYP, are well-suited to beginners and advanced practitioners (of spiritual awareness, in this case), alike.
If you have any issues integrating "higher spiritual truth" into daily life (and "this side" of Yogani, I'm not sure that any of us are free of such issues -- and I'm not presuming Yogani is, either - I'll leave that for him to speak to, if he wishes to ) -- A Course in Miracles can be very, very helpful.
By the time I got around to reading and studying the Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, the Ramayana, and other great works of the Sanatana Dharma (aka Hinduism) / Yogic Philosophy and Teaching - I can very honestly say that I understood them all MUCH better, and MUCH more quickly (which includes understanding that my understanding may well be incomplete, yet ... ) - thanks to A Course in Miracles.
And coming "full circle", A Course in Miracles (aka ACIM) helped me to understand the essence of Christianity --- and most importantly of all, how to apply the sacred teachings of "all of the above" into my own life.
If those seem like lofty claims, and you haven't seen HEAD's (Holy Enlightened Australian Dude ) videos yet ---- check 'em out!
The Workbook for A Course in Miracles (which contains the Daily Lessons) is available here:
http://acim.home.att.net/workbook_contents.html
From roughly 2000-2002, I was fairly deeply involved in ACIM (A Course in Miracles) - I facilitated a weekly study group of roughly twenty people, for much of that two-year period.
ACIM does an excellent job of communicating what is usually thought of (in the West, at least) as the Eastern (Yogic / Santana Dharma aka "Hindu") map of Mind and Reality, via an instructional template which uses Christian symbolism (and whether or not one is Christian, most Westerners are familiar with the general meanings of terms like Father, Christ, Son, Holy Spirit, etc. in spiritual context - at least enough so, that initial communication can begin - as opposed to, say: Brahman, Krishna, Bhagavan, Jagadambe, Ma Kundalini, etc. - which sends many 'Mericans running for the exits) within the context of a Western instructional system for understanding Psychology (the person who "received" ACIM was Dr. Helen Shuchman, a professor of Psychology at Columbia University, in New York.)
More simply stated, ACIM looks kind of like this:
MAP: Yogic Thought
SYMBOLS: Christian
LANGUAGE: Western Psychology
And FYI, Eckhart Tolle recommends it highly, for exactly the reasons I do, as well - he says, "I love A Course in Miracles - it meets the Western mind where it is usually most comfortable - in the middle of a lot of words and concepts - and leads it gently by the hand -- into the Silence."
(That's not a formal quote, but a very close paraphrase, from one of Eckhart's video / DVD lectures.)
So, just wanted to pass all that along, in case anyone might find it helpful.
Peace & Namaste & JTC*,
Kirtanman
*Jai Tattoo Christ!
(And lest anyone want to crucify *me* for blasphemy / disrespect - in ACIM's world-Self-view, all of us, and all of This - or rather, the divine essence thereof - is the Christ, in the same way that the Sanatana Dharma teaches that "it's all God". TAD (Tattooed Australian Dude) just seems to be a particularly loving, wise and aware example of "same".)

"PS" - Anyone who is at all familiar with A Course in Miracles, knows that its most famous teacher / proponent is author / lecturer Marianne Williamson.
www.marianne.com
And I just happened to catch Marianne promoting AYP!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWXs...ated&search=
(Well, okay - maybe not officially ----- but sure sounds like she's promoting AYP, to me -- and she manages to make a couple of other salient points, besides!)
Enjoy!
Peace & Namaste,
Kirtanman
